sketchbookthought

my attempt at blending the arts I cherish

truth-revealing tiny thought thursday.

Ah! But here it is… what takes me days/weeks/months/and maybe even a year and a heap of little words to say, C. S. Lewis can declare in one sentence:

“And how could we endure to live and let time pass if we were always crying for one day or one year to come back—if we did not know that every day in a life fills the whole life with expectation and memory and that these are that day?” Out of the Silent Planet

Oh, Lewis…I pray that our Lord continues to reward you, even in the heavenly place, for the glory you have brought to Him! You precisely convey things I’ve known in the deep areas of my heart for years, but could never quite uncover. Blessed be this King of Glory for the love He never ceases to lavish on us–even if it’s a tiny quote read in the dark of a stormy April night that brings peace to the heart of a girl…
