my attempt at blending the arts I cherish

quiet day, slow day

yesterday i literally studied all day. but despite that it was a really lovely day. it was the first time in quite a while that I wasn’t rushing out the door at 8 something and gone till 2 something and constantly, constantly GOING.

yesterday i was just home; by myself, with the puppy. he slept by my feet or under the couch. he licked my toes. he snuggled up close. and it poured, which was lovely to watch/listen to and stay warm&cozy in sweats for the duration of the day. the house was quiet. except for the one piano song from the UP soundtrack that i put on repeat. i cooked tortellini for lunch, pasta’s my favorite, and sipped on a black cherry soda. and smiled. even though i was surrounded by dates, the Cold War, Abstract Art, the Civil Rights Movement, Richard Nixon, and Andy Warhol. and it was good. peace is good.
