my attempt at blending the arts I cherish

little glories

today i will send off my tiny contribution to the global 4×6 exchange that’s being put on by Art House Co-op {}! they put on all these lovely, free projects that draw national & international participation. for this specific assignment, we had to create whatever we wished on a 4×6 section of any medium. then we will ship the finished works to be amassed with all the other entries. next, in our self-addressed stamped envelopes, they will send someone else’s 4×6 creation. so essentially it’s nothing more than a giant art swap! i am ecstatic about the whole process.

i threw this together yesterday afternoon; it’s not much, but i’m actually quite happy with him! with some stamps from china, sun-thread, a beloved quote, and my favorite color palette, what could go wrong?

so, here’s to community of the art kind and the little glories that come with hand-stitching some sunshine that will travel to who knows where…
